Abstract

Introduction. Non-puerperal uterine inversion is an organic pathology generally associated with a tumorous pathological process. It can be acute or chronic.

Clinical observations. We report two cases of non-puerperal uterine inversion, one of which was acute following the scalping of a myoma delivered through the cervix in an adolescent girl and the other chronic spontaneous secondary to a large myoma delivered through the cervix in a woman aged 47 years. Surgical treatment was conservative in adolescents and radical by mixed approach in elderly women.

Conclusion. Non-puerperal uterine inversion remains a diagnostic challenge in gynecology whose treatment is surgical.
